Over a year ago, and a couple of months before my wedding, I was looking for a bottle of Smoked Porter<\/a> by the Alaskan Brewing Co (we had scheduled a beer ritual during the ceremony). A pretty rare beer, brewed in small batches annually, and, as it turns out, pretty hard to come by in the UK. I found an Irish seller who had some and as I looked through their stock list I noticed they had Brooklyn’s Black Ops in stock as well – an even rarer (i.e. more expensive) Russian Stout. I bought a bottle and kept it until last weekend when it was drunk at our inaugural Friendsgiving dinner – at a steady pace, it’s 11.4%<\/p>\n
