We first discovered\u00a0The Ethicurean<\/a>\u00a0a few years ago at the Abergavenny food festival where they were selling their amazing Toffee Apple Cake. Sensibly they’ve omitted the recipe for it from their recently released cookbook<\/a>\u00a0so the only place to sample it is at the restaurant. The food is amazing; locally sourced (ultra-local when you consider the incredible walled garden they have at their disposal) and perfectly prepared. We headed there for lunch a few days ago, using the excuse of treating family who were visiting.<\/p>\n
