The eternally impressive Tommy Emmanuel graces the cover of Guitarist Presents Acoustic for a second time. We photographed Tommy down at Future Studios in Bath. Of all the guitarists I’ve photographed I’ve yet to meet one more at home with the instrument as Tommy. Hence his C.G.P title. He’s charming and funny to boot (even remembered what shirt he wore on our first shoot years before).

Lighting setup was a 2×3 Softbox as the main with a 6ft strip as a front fill. Another strip for the fringe light, flagged off from the camera and background. Finally a diffused gridded reflector for the guitar highlights. All shot on Profoto D4 packs with Acute D4 heads.
